I'm constantly awed by God's creations. Once, I was coming home and there were dark clouds that covered the whole sky above and to the sides of me. It was disorienting because it looked like an overpass and I couldn't recognize landmarks that I'm very familiar with. It was a little frightening but definitely God's work. Once I got my bearings, I just marvelled at the beauty of it. Maybe it was God’s way of saying you belong down here. I’m constantly awed by God’s creations. Whenever I need to feel God's presence - I purposefully admire the beauty in the waves, sky etc. One of the reasons we moved here - was my (though I admit silly) comment that - God seems closer here! I know He is everywhere - and in our hearts - but I love to walk the beach- etc. and be reminded of the beauty he created for us! It centers me. Great post!!! (and Get Well!) Over the past 6 years, though, I have successfully filled my schedule and my brain so much that I hardly even notice them anymore. I know they are still there--God didn't stop making beautiful sunsets--I just don't have the space in my life to enjoy them. I'm glad you had this experience and I am challenged to make space for God's beautiful moments in my own life. When I first moved to Franklin I used to enjoy beautiful sunsets all of the time on my way home from work.
